You’ll learn the principles of training, and how to write your training schedule to mesh perfectly with your other life commitments.

Gurney will share innovative ideas and strategies for your schedule to stay sane, to avoid staleness and over-training, and to stay together with your partner.

We’ll have a detailed discussion on skills needed and how to incorporate these into your schedule….To do well or simply complete the Coast to Coast, you need to master a specific set of skills not just because of the mountain run and the white water, but these skills also relate to safety because you’ll be isolated in the wilderness.

Perhaps most critically, being skilled vastly increases your confidence and your ability to put your energy into forward speed instead of just “surviving”. You’ll avoid capsizes, injuries and cramps.
